Game 5: Emeralds pitching leads the way in 2-0 win
Great pitching from the Em’s staff tonight. At this level of ball when you can put together a three hit shutout that’s some good pitching.
Going to the home opener tomorrow night against Spokane (Texas Rangers) so I can get a look at this Em’s team. Also have to say after five games I enjoyed Em’s announcer Matt McCabe and the way he calls the games.

Game 4: Boise evens series with 7-6 win over Em’s
Just finished listening to the game. Even with 3 errors, 9 runners LOB, and a bad inning by reliever Matt Means in the seventh the Em’s still had a shot in the ninth. They got the tying run on base but it wasn’t to be.

Game 3: Em’s take second straight from Hawks
Player highlights, Em’s starter Robert Garramone retired 12 of the first 13 batters he faced, and finished with a solid line:
| Player | IP | H | R | ER | BB | SO | HR | ERA |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Garramone | 5 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 3 | 1 | 1.8 |
The Em’s were helped by a couple of Hawks errors in their 4-run eighth when they took the lead, but on the night the Em’s had five players with two hits, and their eight runs were scored by seven different players.
CommentGame 2: Eugene Emeralds with 6-run 9th, beat Hawks
Big ninth inning tonight from the Emeralds. After Jake Opitz put the Hawks ahead 4-3 in the bottom of the 8th with his second home run in as many nights, the Emeralds went on a tear in the top of the 9th inning, using five singles, a double, walk, sac fly, HBP, and a Hawks error to score 6 runs.
After Rob Musgrave gave up the home run to Opitz leading off the 8th, the next three batters went down swinging. Ended the night with 4 Ks in his two innings of work. No home runs for the Em’s tonight, but they did pound out 15 hits.
